This piece comes from a Liverpudlian composer whose work I have seen many times before. This little gem is full of syncopated ideas that, although never stray too far up the fingerboard, need careful reading as there are a few cunning traps to snare the unwary player. It is full of nice harmonies, interesting ideas that are never hackneyed and has plenty of good tunes. It's not easy though, as the rhythms take this above the 'easy' stage into the next technical level but is a lovely piece that many will want to play. Chris Dumigan
